A lot of us, if we’re honest, are living with too much “I don’t know” and not enough “I do know.” I don’t know what job I should do. I don’t know where I’m meant to live. I don’t know what God’s will is. I don’t know what my future looks like.
And if we’re not careful, those unknowns can begin to dominate our lives. They create anxiety, uncertainty, and leave us feeling vulnerable. We’re living in a time of scrolling instead of reading. But scrolling often keeps us surface-level. Reading helps us go deep. Reading helps build conviction. Reading helps anchor us in truth. There will always be things you don’t know, but the goal is not to let the unknowns become louder than the things you do know.
Begin by putting the full stop in the right place. Instead of constantly asking: “What’s God’s plan for my life?”We need to ask: “What’s God’s plan?” Full stop, and I will align my life up with that plan. When you put the full stop in the right place, you stop living from uncertainty and start living with confidence in what God has already revealed.
God’s plan is not hidden. It is to place you in Christ, to make you more like Jesus, to use your life for His purpose and to bring His light into the world through you.
Proverbs 19:21 ESV
We can have many PLANS in our head and in our heart, but it is the PLANS AND PURPOSE of the Lord that will prevail and stand.
We all make plans: career plans, relationship plans, friendship plans, life plans. Sometimes those plans don’t work out. But God’s plans still stand.
God has given us a green light. We can move forward from light, bringing light!
Proverbs 16:9 ERV
People can PLAN what they want to do, but it is the Lord who guides their steps.
Following Jesus is not about living under constant fear. It’s not a red light, stop, fear, or paralysis. It’s about freedom in Christ. YOU’VE GOT A GREEN LIGHT. GO FOR IT.
